Flahavan's bids to introduce porridge to South Korea

Waterford-based Flahavan’s is targeting sales of up to €160,000 in the South Korea this year as part of a bid to introduce porridge to the market.

Waterford-based Flahavan’s is targeting sales of up to €160,000 in the South Korea this year as part of a bid to introduce porridge to the market.

The company is targeting oatmeal as a rice substitute and have thought up some innovative recipes to help familiarise Koreans with oatmeal, it said during a visit linked to St Patrick’s Day by Minister for Children France Fitzgerald.
