The Sean FitzPatrick bankruptcy process could go on for several years and may even take a decade to fully wind itself down, according to insolvency experts.

The former chairman of Anglo Irish Bank, who appeared in the High Court last week as part of a bankruptcy hearing, has liabilities of more than €145 million, compared to assets of just over €47 million.
