Fitch upgrades Bank of Ireland and AIB, downgrades PTSB

Credit Ratings agency Fitch has upgraded the viability ratings of Bank of Ireland and AIB, while downgrading Permanent TSB.

Credit Ratings agency Fitch has upgraded the viability ratings of Bank of Ireland and AIB, while downgrading Permanent TSB.

Bank of Ireland and AIB saw their ratings rise one notch to 'b' and 'b-', respectively but Permanent TSB was downgraded to 'cc', the agency said. Fitch also affirmed the support-driven ratings of Bank of Ireland, AIB and Ulster Bank and their respective subsidiaries with a stable outlook.
