First person: Keith Villa

I take beer seriously. I’m very passionate about it.

I initially developed a love of beer by home brewing as a student at the University of Colorado in Boulder. After that, I did a PhD programme in brewing at the Flemish University in Brussels.

**I set up my own company, Blue Moon, in 1995. It was a different market back then. People in the US weren’t into Belgian-style ales or strange experimental brews.**
