Irish businesses need to treat cybercrime as a more serious threat, according to Stephen Cross, chairman of the Aon centre for Innovation and Analytics.

A survey by Aon this year found that cybercrime ranked 18th globally among threats to businesses. Cross said the impact it could have on Irish companies meant it needed to be treated as a priority.
