Firm wins €12m in new business over past year

Facilities management firm Sodexo is predicting growth in Ireland, having won €12 million in new business over the past year, writes Gavin Daly.

The company said it was defying the downturn with a mixture of new contracts and the expansion of existing deals with customers such as eBay, Hibernian Aviva and the Central Bank.

Sodexo employs about 2,000 people in Ireland providing catering, cleaning, security and reception services, mainly for large Irish and multinational employers.

Margaret Clapham, business development director of Sodexo Ireland, said it had won the business in ‘‘a challenging year for many companies’’....
