Firm linked to Valista raises $30m in funding

Motricity, a US software firm that has been linked to a possible merger or acquisition deal with Irish firm Valista, has raised $30 million in funding.

Motricity, a US software firm that has been linked to a possible merger or acquisition deal with Irish firm Valista, has raised $30 million in funding.

The investment, led by Advanced Equities in Chicago, means that Motricity has raised $57 million in backing in just over nine months.

The company said it would use the money to fund “an aggressive global expansion'‘, but did not outline specific plans.
