Fingleton to remain at helm of INBS‘ for the time being’
Michael Fingleton, the chief executive of Irish Nationwide Building Society, has been asked to stay on at the helm of the mortgage lender, even though his contract runs out in just over a week.
Sources at the building society said that Fingleton had agreed to stay ‘‘for the time being’’, but he will not have a fixed-term contract.
It is not clear how long he will remain in place, but sources said that he had been asked by former chairman Michael Walsh, on behalf of the board, to stay on beyond his existing contract.
