Located just off St Stephen’s Green, Papaya is a remarkably quiet spot despite the city centre address. Its many fans have been lobbying me to pay a visit and so I found myself in the simple square basement room of this long established Asian restaurant.

Decorated in earthy tones with a sprinkling of Asian objets trouves and the authentic sound of Asian pop, it is far from the highly stylised EuroAsian restaurants found...
