Fine Gael sustains lead
There was no Christmas bonus for Fianna Fáil this year as Fine Gael retained its advantage over the government.
The results of today’s Sunday Business Post/Red C tracking poll, the first of 2009, confirms the changes in the Irish political landscape which have been wrought by the ongoing economic crisis. The new paradigm is not going away. This is where we are now. Fine Gael retains a five point lead over Fianna Fáil, though both parties drop two points since the last poll at the end of November.
