Fine Gael maintains poll lead

Support for Fianna Fáil has slipped since before Christmas and remains at an historically low level, the first opinion poll of 2009 reveals.

Support for Fianna Fáil has slipped since before Christmas and remains at an historically low level, the first opinion poll of 2009 reveals. Although support for Fine Gael has also dropped, the party retains its unprecedented five-point lead over Fianna Fáil.

The main opposition party has now led Fianna Fáil by substantial margins in the last three Sunday Business Post/ Red C monthly tracking polls.
