There was a swing to Fine Gael and Independents in Meath County Council - at the expense of Fianna Fáil, which currently has the lion’s share of the seats in the county.

Initial tallies from the Trim count centre showed that Fianna Fáil’s share of the vote was down about 8 per cent. Atotal of 29 seats were up for grabs in Meath, with the spoils split between five electoral areas...
