I note from Frank Flannery’s article (SBP, 5/8/07) that he continues to celebrate a ‘‘historic success for Fine Gael in the 2007 general election’’.

I note from Frank Flannery’s article (SBP, 5/8/07) that he continues to celebrate a ‘‘historic success for Fine Gael in the 2007 general election’’.

Is this the same Frank Flannery who, prior to that election, confidently predicted a ‘‘not pretty’’ meltdown in Fianna Fail support, with the loss of 20 seats? He now appears to be saying that Fianna Fail was actually doing very well, even before the campaign started....
