Thousands of movie fans will descend on Galway this week for the city's annual Film Fleadh, writes Maxim Kelly.

Behind the scenes at the festival, the moneymen who finance movies will also be looking for opportunities in the €200 million Irish film industry.

According to the fleadh's managing director, Miriam Allen, one of the strengths of the Galway event is that movie producers can meet financiers face-to-face.
