One of the biggest changes in the landscape of film in Ireland is the fact that the training body is now going to be administered directly by Bord Scannán nahÉireann/Irish Film Board.

Screen Training Ireland was always a hybrid within Fás, because the funding for courses came from IFB, although the funding for overheads, including salaries, was covered by Fás.
