He's been dead for 30 years, but Alfred Hitchcock is enjoying something of a renaissance of late, with his surreal 1958 thriller Vertigo recently supplanting Citizen Kane on influential movie magazine Sight & Sound's All-Time Best Films list, and the recent BBC film The Girl focusing on his search for a leading lady to play in his 1963 environmental horror The Birds.
