Film: Director Frears gets on his bike

Director Stephen Frears, who made the movie Philomena, will be in Borris in Co Carlow next weekend to discuss his next project.

Director Stephen Frears, who made the Oscar-nominated movie Philomena, will be in Borris in Co Carlow next weekend to discuss his next project, a film focusing on disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. Frears is one of the speakers at the Festival of Writing & Ideas, which takes place in Borris House on June 14 and 15, and will be interviewed by sports journalist David Walsh, who exposed Armstrong's steroid use.
