When Pat Clarke grew a small plot of strawberries on his family farm in 1960, he never expected to become a leading fruit supplier to supermarkets in Ireland.
Over the past half-century in business, Clarke’s Fresh Fruit has evolved into a large operation, growing 50 acres of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, all under polythene cover. Blueberries have also been introduced for the first time this year.
