Almost 20 per cent of homeowners expect house prices to continue falling, according to a survey to be published tomorrow.

The survey, by mortgage broker Irish Mortgage Corporation, found three quarters of homeowners have no plans to buy a new property over the next year. Almost 70 per cent of those surveyed expected interest rates to increase during the next 12 months.
