US giant Fidelity Management & Research (FMR) has emerged as a significant buyer of shares in Irish public companies over the last two months, consolidating its position as the leading foreign owner of local stock.

US giant Fidelity Management & Research (FMR) has emerged as a significant buyer of shares in Irish public companies over the last two months, consolidating its position as the leading foreign owner of local stock.

Over the last six weeks, FMR acquired almost 8 million shares in Independent News & Media (IN&M), 6.4 million shares in Ryanair and 2.9 million shares in C&C.
