Fiat launches Sedici mini-SUV

Sales of Fiat cars are doing very well across Europe this year, with numbers up by 22.8 per cent over the first nine months, a fine achievement at a time when overall car sales in Europe have dropped by 2.6 per cent.

This week two new Fiats will launch in Ireland, the Sedici mini-SUV and the larger Ducato commercial.

The Sedici is built in collaboration with Suzuki, whose own SX4 arrived here a few weeks ago. The main differences are that the Fiat is sold only with fully selectable four-wheel drive, while the Suzuki is a 4X2.

At present a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 107bhp is available, with Fiat’s 1.9 Multijet diesel in 120bhp version coming in...
