Fewer Revenue warrants issued

For some struggling with debt, the Revenue Commissioners are among their creditors.

However, the number of cases being referred to sheriffs nationwide by the Revenue is down on last year.

Last year, some 38,790 warrants - more than 3,230 per month - were issued to the 16 sheriffs appointed by the Minister for Justice to carry out debt collection on behalf of the Revenue.
