Clergy and gardai in the diocese of Ferns in Wexford could face prosecution following the imminent publication of a report into the handling of clerical sex-abuse claims in the diocese.

Clergy and gardai in the diocese of Ferns in Wexford could face prosecution following the imminent publication of a report into the handling of clerical sex-abuse claims in the diocese.

Micheál Martin, the former minister for health, set up the inquiry two years ago to identify what allegations had been made against Ferns clergy before April 10, 2002, and to assess the response to them by Church authorities and the Garda Siochána.
