Fear of losing money was the top factor in Irish people's reluctance to invest in a pension, a new survey has found.

A quarter of respondents to the survey, commissioned by the Independent Trustee Company, cited this as the main reason they had not put money into a pension, ahead of affordability which was mentioned by 23 per cent.
