The IDA has estimated that foreign direct investment will create up to 1,500 building jobs here over the next two years.

The anticipated boost for the construction industry will come about as a result of ten recent announcements by foreign multinationals investing in Ireland, in moves that will require 1.5 million square feet of new space, predominantly for manufacturing.

Companies planning to construct new buildings include Eli Lilly, Boston Scientific, Allergan, Microsoft, Analog Devices, Google and Apple....
