FBD writes off €2.6m Bloxham investment

FBD Holding wrote off its €2.6 million investment as a limited partner in securities firm Bloxham, which is being liquidated.

FBD Holding wrote off its €2.6 million investment as a limited partner in securities firm Bloxham, which is being liquidated.

The Dublin-based insurer posted a first-half pre-tax profit of €22.2 million, rising from €21.8 million for the year-earlier period, it said in a statement today.

Separately, FBD purchased €50 million of Irish Treasury Bills in July, the company said in an e-mailed response to questions today. The amount equated to 10 per cent of bills...
