Father Figure: Primary needs go unmet

In which my kids' new school prompts reflections on the property tax.

'My kids' school -- and others like it -- will remain a dilapidated wreck for at least another two years so its teachers can preserve their increments'.

My kids started in a new primary school this year, so naturally I'm thinking about property taxes.

We recently moved from a very pleasant part of north Co Wicklow to a very pleasant part of south Co Dublin. This caused an enormous amount of anguish for my daughter, who was leaving behind many cherished friends and would have to adjust to a totally new educational institution.
