Fashion Council: skilled craftspeople now an endangered species

The Irish fashion industry is on the edge of extinction, the Council of Irish Fashion Designers has warned.

The Irish fashion industry is on the edge of extinction, the Council of Irish Fashion Designers has warned. According to council spokesperson Eddie Shanahan, an EU microfinancing initiative and new joint retail strategies between designers are crucial to the survival of the industry.
