Fás paid €5 million to exit the lease on its Baggot Street headquarters and another €127,000 in a tax settlement to the Revenue before it was finally abolished last year.

The Revenue bill is understood to include a €10,000 liability incurred by former Fás director general Rody Molloy. The Revenue found that he had incurred a benefit in kind - an employer payment which is taxable - after his wife, Noreen, travelled abroad...
