The organisers of the annual RTE Farmleigh Proms are assessing whether the event can be turned into a series of concerts held at various locations around the country.

The organisers of the annual RTE Farmleigh Proms are assessing whether the event can be turned into a series of concerts held at various locations around the country.

The seven-night music event, which features most of the state’s concert and symphony orchestras, has been running since 2001, but will not go ahead this year because it failed to get planning permission. A new venue could not be secured in time for a summer date.
