Farewell to Haughey and sexy Nigella

So we say farewell to Haughey (RTE 1). Its four-week run has drawn fire from many individuals, some with already sharpened axes to grind anew. Some have made valid criticisms, others have presented alternative versions of events. The series has been accused of being too soft onHaughey.

What did people expect? A public execution? A two-volume history on the scale, say, of the late Shelby Foote's work on the American Civil War? Or ...
