A family-owned recycling firm is opening a stg£6 million (€6.7 million) recycling plant, after winning a 15-year contract to recycle bio-waste from Belfast homes.

A family-owned recycling firm is opening a stg£6 million (€6.7 million) recycling plant, after winning a 15-year contract to recycle bio-waste from Belfast homes.

The Natural World Products (NWP) recycling facility, built on a 13-acre site at the former Glenside Quarry outside Belfast, will recycle 60,000 tonnes of kitchen and garden waste each year. The firm will turn the waste into compost, which will then be sold throughout the North.
