Last week, I discovered the reason why they say Glasgow audiences are the best. At Beauty and the Beast at the Helix in Dublin, there was blow-your-socks-off vocals, crafty comic timing and raucous family fun - but few raucous families in the audience. Dublin audiences possibly are more refined in expressing their enjoyment - for they certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves, even if they weren't shouting, clapping, singing and stamping, Glasgow-style....
