Family Life

Theatrical picnics in Wicklow, pain-free gift buying from Serendipity and suitable school bags for all ages. Compiled by Fiona Ness.

22nd June, 2013
Powerscourt Gardens in Enniskerry.

Picnics aren't just for teddy bears this summer, with two new outdoor theatre initiatives for families taking place in Wicklow.

Head to Powerscourt Gardens in Enniskerry with your picnic basket and magnifying glass on June 30 for a presentation of Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Alternatively, pitch up for lunch with Kenneth Grahame's The Wind In the Willows at Avondale House in Rathdrum on July 6. Chapterhouse Theatre Company is behind the inventive, open-air initiative.
