Fall of the roaming empire

The row between mobile operators and the EU Commission is hotting up, despite attempts by operators to sweeten their roaming tariffs, writes Ian Campbell.

The EU executive will formally table proposals this month to the European Parliament to let the EU Commission intervene into the mobile market and force operators to lower the cost of roaming charges.
