Failed aquatic centre bidder seeking €40m

The underbidder for the contract to build the €62 million National Aquatic Centre in Dublin plans to seek €40 million in compensation from the state.

The underbidder for the contract to build the €62 million National Aquatic Centre in Dublin plans to seek €40 million in compensation from the state.

The figure is almost four times greater than the €11million in compensation that the consortium had previously claimed. Sources close to the Dublin International Arena Limited (Dial) consortium said it planned to pursue its case for damages for the allegedly wrongful award of the contract to the Waterworld/Rohcon consortium....
