The article ‘Dail to consider congestion charge for Dublin City’ (11/ 11/07) left me somewhat confused.

Local government, including Dublin City Council, operates under legislation passed by the Dail. That legislation requires Dublin City Council to have a series of what are called Strategic Policy Committees (SPC).

In our case, one of these is the transport and traffic SPC. It would have at least been mannerly for chairman Frank Fahey TD to contact that committee...
