Facelift plans for maligned Luas line

The Luas line between Heuston Station and O'Connell Street is littered with derelict buildings and vacant land. But this is set to change, writes Donal Buckley.

About 20 vacant sites with a combined 2.4 hectares of land facing onto or one block away from the Red Luas line have been identified by Dublin City Council (DCC) as potential development opportunities. At least two residential developments have already been discussed with planning officials.
