Paypal co-founder Peter Thiel has given $300,000 to a Canadian inventor help his bid to make man-made tornadoes.

Paypal co-founder Peter Thiel has given $300,000 to a Canadian inventor help his bid to make man-made tornadoes.

Louis Michaud and his company, AVEtec, are building a prototype of a machine called the Atmospheric Vortex Engine to create tornadoes about 40 meters high that can produce cheap energy from waste heat, according to Canadian newswire National Post.
