The Butler Gallery, Kilkenny has opened a solo exhibition of works by locally-based artist Helen Comerford.

Entitled **Alpha to Omega**, the exhibition is the result of years of exploration using the archaic medium of encaustic painting, a form that employs beeswax together with pigments, and was used by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks.
