EXHIBITION: Landscape brought to life with humour
Cows in the Hood is a collection of new works by artist Kelly Hood, and the tongue-in-cheek name references the quirky humour to be found in her lovingly-rendered bovine-themed paintings.
Hood has studied the old masters of realism and, after experimenting with abstraction and illustration techniques, has applied her keen eye for detail to the animals she loves to observe in West Kerry. ‘‘I believe in painting what I see,” she says.
