Bob Quinn’s cast bronze sculptures, Expressionist in their influence, are wonderful, playful pieces that exude humour, drama and personality.

They reflect the artist’s ‘‘quirky way of looking at life.” Each piece tells a story of its own and his figures have evolved from Quinn’s confident knowledge of the human anatomy and of working with bronze, such as Bluesman, (left). A series of 18 of these sculptures go on show today at the Kilcock Art Gallery, in Kilcock, Co Kildare, at 3pm.
