Exceptional expenses hit profits at

Profits at, the Belfast online video and DVD seller, fell to stg£100,585 (E145,000) last year because of exceptional expenses of more than stg£410,000.

Accounts just filed by Sendit show that it made a pre-tax profit of stg£512,100 for the financial year to the end of January 2005. However, it then repaid a grant of stg£154,000 to the Industrial Development Board and also wrote offmore than stg£240,000 related to the lease on a premises.

Sendit had an accumulated loss of almost stg£7.8 million (€11.2 million) at the end of January, despite making a pretax profit of stg£690,857...
