An interim examiner has been appointed to Pilot Training College Ireland, the company at the centre of a row over a Florida-based pilot training course.

At least 80 Irish and a large number of other trainee pilots had their training courses halted without refund in recent weeks after the company had its training licence suspended by the Irish Aviation Authority. Enterprise Ireland made a €440,000 investment in the company in 2010.
