Antiques dealer Brian Corcoran has come from afar to launch his Francis Street shop, Corcoran Antiques, in Dublin 8.

He spent several years in London and New York before returning home to Ireland, where he first started Corcoran Antiques in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

He says he ‘‘jumped at the chance’’ to open a branch of the business in Francis Street, which is well known in Dublin for its antique shops.

‘‘I was always collecting as a kid,” he said.
