A group comprising six former directors of Eason is attempting to force boardroom change at the Irish-owned book and stationery retailer.

The six, who include two former managing directors of the business, have circulated a letter to the company's 200-plus shareholders seeking proxies ahead of its annual general meeting later this month. The former executives are seeking board representation at the company, claiming it is essential to ensuring that shareholder rights "are not dissipated".
