European markets close higher, but US markets shut until tomorrow

European markets finished higher, after a number of big name companies, including Europe’s second-biggest oil company BP and Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank reported earnings that topped expectations.

European markets finished higher, after a number of big name companies, including Europe’s second-biggest oil company BP and Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank reported earnings that topped expectations.

Dublin’s ISEQ was up almost 1 per cent at the closing bell today, mirroring the trend in other European markets.
