Up to 3,000 jobs could be created if Irish companies were to maximise the opportunities from €140 billion per annum in EU funding through European Commission contracts, according to Consulting Ireland.

It said that 5,000 new global contracts are posted daily by international financial institutions and other public sector bodies, amounting to over €600 billion per annum.
