Euro cars in sales slump through US

Sales of European cars are on the slide in the United States.

How much of this is a voluntary cutback due to unprofitable trading conditions caused by a weak dollar is not clear. So far this year, European brands are down by five per cent in sales.

March figures show BMW, the most popular European seller in the US with sales of 20,149 units, off by 11 per cent compared to the same month last year. Mercedes-Benz, at 18,177 sales is up two per cent, while VW...
