Euro area confidence slumps in April

Confidence across the euro area has slipped more than expected according to the April report issued today.

Confidence across the euro area has slipped more than expected according to the April report issued today.

The European Commission said the index of business and consumer sentiment fell to 92.8 from a revised 94.5 in March.

Bloomberg News had forecast a drop to 94.2.
